About Me
I'm Akshit, a student at Georgia Tech studying Computer Science and FinTech. I like to build things that are interesting and either make my life better or more enjoyable.
I'm an engineer with an interest in the markets. Whether it's playing poker with my friends or building a trading simulator, I'm drawn to environments where the edge comes from human behavior under uncertainty and pressure.
Away from the computer, I love music - both listening and playing (my favorites are Bollywood and R&B), playing chess, exploring places with friends, and discovering new foods.
Projects
Built a simulated algorithmic market-making engine with stochastic price modeling, bid/ask spread management, order execution logic, and inventory controls to optimize resilience against liquidity shocks and P&L in financial markets. Integrating SQL database for persistent trade and price data storage and WebSocket data streaming.
Developed a real-time multiplayer sports betting mobile app achieving Honorable Mention at HackGT 12. Engineered live video-synced wagering with lobby management, and dynamic payout algorithms with REST endpoints backed by PostgreSQL schema and Selenium WebDriver to automate sports feed launches.
Built and deployed a full-stack React and Flask web application enabling automated AI grading of Advanced Placement FRQ exam responses for student practice with 200+ users. Fine-tuned custom GPT model and OpenAI API calls on 100+ exam media to accurately detect and grade AP FRQ responses, achieving 90%+ grading accuracy.
